Men in Blazers NEW PODCAST Early Kick Off is Here ☕️

Hail GFOP!

I type with fingers filled with relief and joy our new podcast Early Kickoff is out in the world. We have been building the team and beta-testing for three months. To have it in your ears and become America’s No. 1 in the Nation in the football charts feels as thrilling as witnessing a Matty Turner Clean Sheet or Trinity Rodman hattrick.

The idea of the show is this: In our social media age, the football world does not sleep, and even I feel information overload. Every morning, I have an insane ritual: I wake up at 5 AM ET and sift through every British sports back page for an hour-and-a-half to ensure I am up to speed on what happened overnight. Even as I do it, I am aware that normal people with a packed life, and American sport fandoms to keep up with, cannot (and should not) do that.

And so we created Early Kickoff as a footballing lifehack: A MicroPod… around 10 minutes a day, to drop Monday to Friday at 6 AM ET every weekday morning. In the time it takes you to shower, or drink that first cup of coffee, you can catch up on everything that happens across the football world: the seismic clashes, casual managerial firings, searing transfer rumors, and understand them easily, intelligently, and entertainingly. Give it a listen and please, please drop me a line about your thoughts on what you want to hear and how we can keep improving it all at [email protected].

Today’s episode:

Know this: Early Kickoff is on its own podcast feed. It will NOT be in the MiB feed. To find it you have to subscribe separately by searching on your podcast platform and smashing Ye Olde Subscribe Button. CLICK HERE FOR THAT FEED.

The release of Early Kickoff marks the first production from the studio capacity we are building in England. I know we began kicking the English out in 1773, but now we reverse invading. Sammy James is your host – Godalming, Surrey’s finest. The man with two first names. I am so proud of this production, and all that is to come. Here is what I would ask: To grow a podcast in its first few weeks is crucial. There is nothing like word of mouth: Friends telling Friends. So please, spread word about Early Kick Off to all your football curious friends and family. Forward this email if you can. Our dream is to build this football community and share more and more moments together. We cannot do it without you, Great Friends of the Pod.

To more together with love and thanks.

Big Love.

Courage,

ROG

PS. I am interviewing Julie Ertz today for her farewell to football. Let me know what questions you have for her. 🇺🇸
